Reginald laughed, and then put the blade of his sword on Master York’s neck.
I managed to grab my sword, raised it, and then lowered it. I couldn’t risk Master York being injured.
Reginald laughed again. “Come along now, knights,” He said, forcing the point of his sword into Master York’s neck as he walked along.
He led us to the new queen.
“You were right, my majesty. I caught them trying to escape, just as you said.”
“Yes! Now I have a reason to execute you!” She caught my look. “You really thought that I accidently put you in the same cell? Of course not! I was planning your execution all along. What a fool you must take me for.”
My hands shook angrily. How I would like to take my sword and cut off every single strand of her long blond hair!
She walked up to me. Reginald motioned for another guard to take my arms, holding me back.
“When should I execute you? Before or after Master York, or after so you could spend your last minutes suffering for your friend? I think I shall have you executed after Master York.” With that, she exited the room, and we were lead back to our cell.
