Hola me amigos! If you are a fifth grader at Broken Arrow then you are reading My Brother Sam is Dead. (P.S. Sam dies!) I would not recommend this book to you because it goes by really slowly. Also it is boring. Now, this may just because I do not reading about the Revolutionary War, but in my opinion it is not really good. If you are bored to death, then read this book. If not, then do not read it.
It is told in the point of view of young Tim Meeker. When his older brother Sam comes back home from college wearing a Rebel uniform, Tim knew that he and their father were going to get into a huge fight. The Meeker family lived in Tory country, Redding, Connecticut. Sam goes into the war while Tim is left to care for the animals and clean the tavern all by himself. When Tim and his father go to the Hudson River for the first time together, Tim’s father said that there may be cow-boys. Will they make it home OK? Will Sam live?(NO!) Do not read the book to find out!
